  Overall, great place. It has everything needed. The only problem we had was the frozen pipes, but the management responded fast and they took care of it.

    The older pipes do tend to freeze in the unusually cold temperatures we've been having. Maintenance is usually able to get it up and running quickly though. Thank you!

  The only negative about this rental was the ongoing experience with potential "frozen" water pipes and need to keep water running and cabinets open - sure wish this could be addressed.

  It's cabin rustic on the lake. House is original 1929 and that is part of the experience. Feels like going back in time. Very kid friendly home.

  This cabin suited us perfectly. Amazing location and a building with history (AKA rustic).
  
  Julie at Lake Valley was extremely friendly and check-in took 2 seconds.
  
  We were headed to the casinos the first day but were delayed by beach view for a couple of hours. Amazing sunset.
  
  Neat and clean cabin, but again - rustic. Heat, water, laundry, TV/Internet... no problems with anything. Next time in Tahoe, we would try to stay here first.

  The photos are very deceiving. The photo posted is of the back of the house, not the front. The kitchen sink is left dripping and was full of rust upon our arrival. The only shower was 'jerry rigged' and the showerhead was tied up with a plastic bag. The only saving grace to this house is the view of the lake, other than that I would have asked to be relocated.

  What a wonderful place. We had a great time and would most certainly go again! Despite chasing the spiders, which I am sure wanted to get in from the cold as much as us, the place was charming and toasty. It snowed for 3 days when we got there. We were greeted by a white furred coyote every night, a bunny, and squirrels. It was heaven! I recommend to all!

  This was our second stay in this cabin. The view is incredible at any time of day or night. We were grateful for the exterminator because there were fewer spiders this visit. One concern was the flimsy latch on the bedroom door facing the lake. It was a memorable stay and we hope to return.

  This is the second year we stayed at this property - the location is fantastic! I have rented through Lake Valley Properties for many years and have always been very satisfied with their service. The only potential negative could be the overall general maintenance and general upkeep/upgrade of the proporty by the owners over time, which could develop into serious problems if not watched carefully. We had no problems to report with this rental, and hopefully will be able to stay there again.

  the only thing i would recommend before you stay is a bug bomb!!! there were a lot of spiders. only because the property hadn't been used in a bit! other than that, i got married that weekend i stayed there and it was the most peaceful and romantic place. very quiet and the location was very private yet close to everything!

  Hi!
  We had a wonderful time in Lake Tahoe! I recommended you to my friend, Susie. She is thinking about coming up to Tahoe this weekend! The only 2 things with the property were: 1. there was some trash in the driveway and on the lawn when we got there. 2. The checkout directions were not clear. I was given one set of directions, but on the refrigerator and in the notebook in the cabin, there were other sets of directions. You might want to just double check that the most updated print material/info is in the cabin. We really had a nice stay and fully enjoyed the hot tub!! :) Thank you for having us!

  Great location, great view. 5 stars for that. For the inside it is more like 3 stars. Living room is great but only one bathroom and you have to pass the master bedroom to get there.

  My advise with this rental and one I had about 2 years ago would be to review/inspect the property immediately before a guest's arrival - when the property has not been used for several weeks or a few months - to be sure all is operational/OK -especially in cold weather (frozen pipes, toilet problems, etc.)

  This place was amazing! The only minor complaints I had were that the shower head was broken so we had to hold it to shower and the location was hard to find. We got lost for an hour because we didn't realize Lake Drive was in a gated community. Other than that, this was the most romantic weekend I've ever had.

  I loved the view and that was why I picked this house. It was more like an old cabin than a house. The floor creaked as you walked which gave it character. Sitting in the hot tub over looking the lake in a rain storm was great.

  We really loved the location, but the comforters and mattresses were dusty and old. It was a good place to bring kids as we certainly didn't worry about them wearing anything down since everything was already so worn. The view from the dining room table was gorgeous and we loved being able to walk outside and feed the ducks. We'd stay again and just bring our own sheets and comforters.
