  I was very pleased with my stay in Lake Tahoe the home was furnished with everything I needed ,instructions were posted to make things easy,the home was in a quit neighborhood near everything ,check in and out was fast and easy.I will be back!

  Only problem we had was with a neighbor who had a dog outside that barked non stop. At 4 in the morning I had to call the police to come out and have him put the dog in the house.

  Overall, our stay at this place was pretty good.
  The kitchen had almost everything we needed, they were also clean.
  General condition of this place is 'fair' because, though they were clean, lots of furnitures and equipments were old.

  Although bed linens and towels were clean, the main bathroom sink was dirty. The kitchen cupboards were with caked with sticky soil, but dishes appeared to be clean. All surfaces in house were very dusty. Outside deck had not been swept in months and all windows and crevices had cobwebs. We have rented many properties in S.L. Tahoe; this was the only one that has been unkempt.

    Thank you for the information regarding cleaning at the house. The pollen up here this time of year is a never ending battle that covers everything and we do our best to stay on top of it.   The home itself needs a lot of updating. The bathrooms were my least favorite part of the house. Toilet seats were loose, medicine cabinet sliders were gone, lots of stains. One bathroom had been used before we got there. The kitshen was very well stocked. The cabinet doors need to be updated - replaced or refinished. One cabinet was off it's hinge. Overall the house was clean and comfortable. "very homey", but old. Great price for the time we were there.

  This cabin was rented at the very last minute on a Friday before the July 4th Weekend after some Dirt-Bag LOSER from Craigslist lied to us about a supposed rental "reservation". I expected more from a high-brow timeshare owner at the Marriot Timberlake but I guess ball-less "jack-asses" are to be found in all demographic segments.
  
  On the contrary, Julie - our Lake Valley agent - was quick on her feet and on the ball. She swiftly helped us find a cabin and within an hour we had signed contracts, great instructions and directions.
  
  Arriving in Tahoe we picked up the keys and paperwork from the lockbox without event. In no time we were enjoying our 3BR cabin.
  
  The cabin is located in a nice, off-the-beaten path neighborhood populated mainly by residents - an even a Bear (yes a real Black Bear - in our front yard!) Bear notwithstanding, there were a few minor qwirks about the cabin appliance (noisy heater) but it didn't diminish our enjoyment. We advised Julie after our trip and she thanked us for the feedback.
  
  I would use this company again and would consider renting this very cabin again. Yes I had to drive to Starbucks (unlike when we stay at the Marriot - one is across the street), watched the FIFA World Cup on a TV Tube (no large screen HDTV here...) but we really didn't care.

  V14 is very cozy, but the layout is set up more for 3 couples and two kids, or single people, maybe. With 1 King, 2 Queen, and 2 Twin beds, you could technically fit 8 people in beds, but not if 8 of them were single (guys or girls only trips). I also think the house is very outdated. The heater stays on most of the time because the house gets very cold very fast. It would have been nice to have a starter set of wood for the fireplace to get you going and then require you to buy the rest. But, honestly, you can't beat the price and location.

  I have stayed at other places that provide shower soaps, shampoos, and lotions. Also, there was only one big pan so it was difficult to cook multiple things at once

  For less than what you would pay at a hotel, you can stay at a nice cabin not far from the casinos. Very well-maintained cabin with plenty of room for 2 couples. I will never stay at a hotel again in the Tahoe when I can rent a very affordable cabin for less money conviently located.
