  My friends and I (there was 8 of us total) did not know what to expect since it would've been our first time staying in a cabin in South Lake Tahoe. This rental exceeded our expectations. The location was great because we were able to sled around the property as soon as we unpacked. Additionally, we liked that it was a little secluded so we didn't have to worry about disturbing our neighbors, though we weren't excessively loud to begin with. It was close enough to the casinos, ski resorts, and stores so we didn't have to travel more than 15 minutes by car. The hot tub was very nice to relax in after playing in the snow all day. We really appreciated the fact that the kitchen came fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, dish soap, etc so that it was easy for us to prepare meals and clean up after ourselves in the rental. Each room came with a set of towels for those of us who forgot to bring extra towels. Additionally, it was convenient with a washer and dryer inside the rental so that we were able to keep our used clothes and towels clean throughout the trip. Overall, we had an excellent trip and this rental added to that positive experience. We will definitely be booking with Lake Valley Properties for future trips to Lake Tahoe. Thanks Julie!!

  This cabin is very cozy and secluded. We built a sledding ramp in the backyard and sled all day. It has everything we needed for a comfortable stay for a big group.

  I've been renting this cabin for over 10 years now and have had many trips with friends and family here. It's a very nice cabin in a good location if you like South Tahoe. The small hills on the side make a great spot for sledding with small children. Saves a drive to a snow park.
  
  There really is no down side to this cabin. The two gripes I have are the cleaning fees and the hot tub fee. First of all, if the hot tub is part of the amenities there shouldn't be a fee. What if we don't use it? What's next? A coffee maker fee? I think it's ridiculous. I don't go to a hotel and be charged a swimming pool fee, because it's there. The second gripe is the cleaning fee. If you're going to charge me a cleaning fee, don't ask me to do the cleaning. What do the cleaning people do after I've pulled off the sheets, put the dishes in the dishwasher, taken out the trash? Don't charge me a fee if you expect me to clean as well. Otherwise, lower the fee to something more reasonable.

    Hi Susan, I'm so glad to hear that you enjoy this cabin year after year. Thank you for your input about the cleaning fees. We ask that guests do their dishes so they don't get crusty and very difficult to clean by the time the housekeepers arrive, and put the trash out in the trash cans so it doesn't stink up the house before the housekeeper arrives. They do all the laundry, vacuum/sweep/mop all flooring, fully clean the kitchens/appliances, remake all beds, and clean/sanitize all bathrooms for their fee, along with dusting, sweeping of outside areas, etc. Our cleaning fees are actually quite reasonable compared to others that you would find in the area for the same thing.   The cabin is very well situated with no close neighbors. It is a bit old but has all the amenities. Only two issues, no wireless internet (bigger issue) and kitchen did not have enough cutlery for 8 people (smaller issue).

  ONLY NEGATIVE WAS THAT WE THOUGHT WE COULD PARK IN THE GARAGE AND IT NEEDED A DIFFERENT KEY TO THE DEADBOLT. THERE WAS NO COMPUTER AS WAS ADVERTISED AS WELL SO I'D RECOMMEND NOT MENTIONING THOSE 2 FEATURES. CLEAN EXCEPT FOR FLOOR CORNERS, BASES BOARDS, UNDER COUCHES, ECT. LOVED IT WHEN WE WALKED IN. VERY COZY.LOVED SITTING IN THE HOT TUB OUT IN THE SNOW.ENJOYED THE SURROUND SOUND IN THE LOFT WHILE WATCHING DVD'S I BROUGHT. NICE SELECTION OF CHILDREN'S MOVIES ALREADY THERE.THER WERE GAMES IN THE CLOSET WHEN YOU FIRST WALK IN WHICH I THOUGHT WAS NICE. A VERY NICE GET AWAY. MY LEGS DID GET A WORK OUT THOUGH IN THIS THREE LEVEL CABIN.DISHWASHER LEFT A LOT OF SOAP ON DISHES. REALLY ENJOYED SPENDING OUR CHRISTMAS THERE EVEN SAW A FOX OUT THE KITCHEN WINDOW ONE MORNING. ALL THE BEDROOMS ARE DOWNSTAIRS THEN NEXT LEVEL IS THE KITCHEN /LIVING SPACE AND THE LOFT UP ANOTHER SET OF STEEP STAIRS.LONG WAYS AND LOTS OF STAIRS TO UNLOAD AND LOAD THE CAR. TOTALLY WORTH IT. WOULD LOVE TO VISIT THIS CABIN AGAIN.

  This property was great for the price. The only major issue was that we were traveling with young children, 5 and 2, and there were two very steep sets of stairs inside. Plus stairs from the garage to the house, not fun unlaoding luggage. Still this property was very nice, beautiful surroundings and a nice new hot tub.

  My favourite thing about this cabin was the seclusion in the lush woods. The outdoor jacuzzi is in spotless condition and harnesses a wonderful view of the natural outdoors. Perfect for those who wish to a have a nice retreat without any disturbances from others.

  We had a group of 8 and were very comfortable at the house. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars across the board was that the wireless internet was password protected and the property manager didn't have the password. Since that was a draw for our group it was kind of a drag and something to keep in mind for any property.

  The cabin was adorable, the upstairs loft was really cute and fun. The new hot tub outside is the best I've seen in Tahoe. It's surrounded by pine trees for seclusion and next to a big peaceful rock with a heavenly view of the stars in the night sky. Lovely.
